‘Small Town’—a long story, as we started calling it internally, since this project stretched over two years! The reason? Chris O’Dowd wrote a wonderfully weird story that sparked endless debates about which genre it belongs to.
Starring the lovely Christina Hendricks and Paddy Considine, alongside a cast of colourful characters (see Character Art), the series is set in the fictional rural Irish town of Drumbán. When a major Hollywood film production arrives, the town is suddenly thrust into the spotlight—only for a long-buried secret, hidden for 25 years, to come to light.
In terms of execution, we fully embrace the comedic oddities of small-town Drumbán, leaning into the quirks, secrets, and hidden lives of its people—always hinting at what they might be concealing.
The truth is out there. And it can feck off.

follows BAFTA-winner Sheridan Smith as she portrays Rosie Molloy, a character struggling with a host of addictions that strain her personal relationships. When a humiliating incident at her brother's alcohol-free wedding lands her in the hospital, Rosie resolves to overhaul her life by ‘Giving up everything”, relinquishing smoking, sex, and alcohol - or so she intends.
The creative challenge was conveying addiction without resorting to explicit depictions of substance use.
It was a long gestation but worth all the effort. I learnt a few things along the way and it was great to work with talents like Sheridan Smith, Ardal O'Hanlon, Pauline McLynn and the creative team at Sky.

uncovers a chilling crime scene where three men were fatally shot in their Range Rover along a quiet country lane in Rettendon, Essex, in December 1995. Allegedly stemming from a feud among underworld figures linked to drug supply in the 90s rave culture, this new documentary challenges the convictions of those jailed for the murders, raising questions about their innocence.
